A narrative series of eight self-portraits in which a character is back to life thanks to balloons (a symbol of … okay, it’s up to you !)
In this series, there’s a lot of my favorite themes (the character who undergoes, the transformation into something else …) and recurrent graphic patterns (self-portraits with the face hidden, Magritte’s The Son of Man reinterpretations …).
The lack of decoration and the use of a minimalist white background is again essential to isolate the character into the frame, and to turn a concept into pictures.
