You are rarely frightened by what you can see, often much more by what you can NOT see.
Imagination can be an enormous catalyst of fear, and unfortunately I have a lot of imagination …
I can not count the number of times I was freeze in fear in front of darkness, persuaded to have perceived the presence of someone (something?). I find myself then to fix the darkness, hoping that my eyes decide to finally perceive what is troubling my mind. In front of me, there is nothing (probably?), But the imagination machine is set in motion and everything hardly visible, becomes suspect, a part of the body of that THING, ready to jump on me.
